A Journey through Time since 1529
Located in the enchanting countryside of Brindisi, Masseria Vaccaro tells a centuries-old story of passion for the Apulian traditions. The first manuscripts of the building date back to 1529, going through centuries of transformations, evolving and adapting itself to the changes of the times. Today, revived as a Boutique Hotel, the farmhouse continues to celebrate its rich heritage to offer its guests a journey of peace and authenticity, where every detail describes a piece of the past.
The farmer's retreat
Masseria Vaccaro has always represented a retreat of serenity and industriousness. Over the past centuries, its walls have welcomed generations of farmers devoted to breeding, farming and to cheese production. It was a place of hard work as well as community sharing, where daily life was marked by the rhythm of nature and local traditions. Every stone of the farm tells stories of commitment and passion, witnessing a deep connection with the land.
The farmhouse was definitively abandoned in the 1980s. Its last inhabitant is still alive: Mrs Vitina is 90 years old.
